Sluagh, pronounced "sloo-ah," is from Irish and Scottish folklore. They are believed to be spirits who were too evil or unloved to be accepted in any afterlife, and they fly through the air in a terrifying, bird-like swarm to steal the souls of the dying. This is an archival ink, 8 X 8 print of the piece I originally created in soft pastels. It comes on heavy matte paper, unframed.
